The project aims to upgrade the Don Bosco Technical Vocational Education Training (DBTVET) in Gumbo by introducing courses in Hotel and Catering technology, Fashion and Lifestyle Technology and Agriculture Technology. Don Bosco has developed a curriculum framework for these courses and conducted a local study with various stakeholders to assess the need for these courses for the young people of South Sudan. Among other measure the infrastructure has to be expanded and there are plans to build and equip two workshops and a model farm as well as an office building and school toilets. Additionally, Don Bosco has envisioned converting the centre into a production hub to promote entrepreneurship and ensure the sustainability of the program through income generation. The primary objective of this feasibility study is to develop a comprehensive analysis for the proposed upgrade of Don Bosco TVET in Juba with additional courses focusing empowering women.
