Evaluation mission in North Macedonia

During November 1-5, the evaluation mission for the EU project “Support to Development of Agricultural Cooperatives in North Macedonia” in North Macedonia has been carried out. In frame of the mission evaluation team members conducted meetings with the project beneficiaries and stakeholders including members of agricultural cooperatives, representatives of Umbrella Organization Macedonian Association of Agricultural Cooperatives’ (MAAC), Ministry for Agriculture and Water Economy, and Ministry of Economy, CSOs, and project staff and partner. The fieldwork was taking place at the following locations: Skopje, Resen, Bitola, Miravci, and Lozovo. The project evaluation results will be reported in November 2021.

The project ”Support to Development of Agricultural Cooperatives in North Macedonia”, implemented by CARE Deutschland e.V. (CARE) together with the „Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation“ (MEDF), aims at contributing to higher productivity and competitiveness of the agriculture sector, specifically, improving the current situation in the segment of agricultural production of individual farmers, increasing market competitiveness and cooperation among farmers in the country, through creating favourable conditions for the development of the existing and creation of new agricultural cooperatives.
