The project goal is to strengthen rural women’s economic security, entrepreneurship and equitable participation in cross-border trade and business relations, enabling their enhanced participation and leadership in economic life in ways that contribute to peace and stability.

The purpose of Baseline Study is to gather the background and contextual information and data in order to ensure that the project is designed, implemented, and monitored in the most effective and relevant ways possible, as well as provide recommendations to advance project strategies on gender transformative approaches. Besides, the study aims to assess the baseline conditions of the project indicators set to achieve project objectives.

The Gender Analysis aims to collect in-depth information to seek deeper understanding of day to day lives of women and men in the targeted communities and identify the gender barriers, opportunities, and risks that need to be factored into the project.

Method used: desk review, qualitative research (Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions)
