The overall goal of the project was to contribute to reducing poverty and increase the resilience of ultra-poor households in 5 regions of Georgia and the incorporation of ultra-poor graduation principles and measures into national and subnational poverty reduction programs/schemes in support of the poverty reduction efforts of the GoG.

This specific assignment focused on two objectives: 1) Conducting gender sensitive mapping of public and private social services and schemes at national and municipal level and of existing community groups in the targeted communities; 2) Conduct gender sensitive inclusion responsive capacity assessment of target municipalities and identify gaps that are relevant for Ultra Poor Graduation implementation.

The assignment provided the program with information on critical needs in terms of service provision (in relations to the social protection, social empowerment initiatives, financial inclusion and livelihoods promotion) from the municipalities side, to defined the areas for further advocacy action and capacity strengthening towards the duty bearers.

Method used: desk review, qualitative research (Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions).
