The project “GREEN Caucasus - Enhancing Green Rural Economy and Energy in Georgia” is implemented by CENN and funded by Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC). The project main outcome is to create local income opportunities, and anthropogenic pressure on forests is reduced by rural economy diversification through sustainable multi-functional forest use, fostering decentralisation and empowering women, youth and vulnerable groups.
The baseline study infers conduction of qualitative and quantitative surveys in the pre-selected municipalities of the target regions, focusing on the following factors: energy usage, income levels, awareness levels, gender dynamics, and public participation. As a results, the study identifies community needs and constraints while establishing baseline data for project indicators as needed.
