The programme aims at rural economic development, diversified, resilient and sustainable dairy industry. The programme enhances the livelihoods and resilience of smallholder dairy producers, and improve the management of the natural resources on which they depend.
The objective of the mid-term review was to define the status of the DiMMA outcome and selected impact indicators against the indicators defined in the Log Frame. The mid-term review examined the attributable effects of the DiMMA programme on sustainable dairy production enhancement by primary producers and processing enterprises in Georgia.
The research targeted beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, including smallholder diary producers, farm level service providers, diary aggregators and non-commercial rural households who also benefit from pilot non-extractive livelihood project which support pasture regeneration and employment in small enterprises. There was a specific focus on women and youth.
Method used: desk review, qualitative research (Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions), quantitative study with 1200 respondents.
