Regional Civil Society Organizations as Vectors of Rural Economic Development

Evaluation aimed to assess project components implemented by PIN and partners to contribute to the improved engagement of target CSOs in promoting DCFTA and SME policies at the local level; and assess capacities of target CSOs to be actively involved in the policy dialogue and managing DCFTA information-resource desks.

Objectives of the evaluation were to: review how the project met its set of outcomes and objectives by the end of the project implementation period; to make judgement on how intended or unintended, positive or negative changes are; calculate and compare the costs and benefits of a project; provide lessons learnt and recommendations that would assist implementing partners and other stakeholders to enhance the impact of their future interventions.

Methods used: desk research, key informant interviews and focus group discussions.
