The project introduced the LEADER/CLLD approach to Tskaltubo municipality to build on existing local development potential, support participatory mechanisms in local decision-making processes and sustainable growth, as well as improve the quality of life of its residents, especially of targeted disadvantaged groups. Together, following on from regional research undertaken jointly by the LAG and project team, the LAG members formulated the Rural Development Strategy, with substantial input from other community members.
The main purpose of the final evaluation is to assess the quality of implementation, the immediate impact of the project and its perspectives for sustainability, as well as provide stakeholder-facilitated recommendations for similar LEADER projects that are implemented currently or will possibly be implemented in the near future by PIN Georgia.
Method used: desk review, qualitative survey (key informant interviews and focus group discussions).
