The program “Skill Up!” is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The program aims to foster individual, social and economic development as well as political participation, developing the youth’s essential abilities for life.

The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the extent to which the objectives set at the beginning of the program have been achieved. As well as, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the Skill Up! Approach and quality standards, by looking into detail at specific aspects and linkages, particularly in relation to sustainable food and nutrition security and food systems transformations. The evaluation applies desk review, qualitative research (key informant interviews and Focus Group Discussions), and quantitative study (phone surveys and self-administered surveys) with project target groups and follows OECD DAC criteria to assess the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability and impact of the program.
