The objective of the project “Sustainable Improvement of living conditions in 100 villages of Gujarat through strengthening public participation in local governance” was to contribute to the improvement of quality of life In 100 villages of the districts Kheda and Chhota Udapur (federal state Gujarat). The specific objective of the action was to promote sustainable rural development in targeted area through participation and local governance, basic health, basic education, vocational support/training, access to financial services and support of self-employment and small business.

Evaluation process was based on the Development Assistance criteria (DAC) of Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Impact and Sustainability.
