The project focuses on driving economic development in 10-15 municipalities across four diverse regions: Samegrelo, Guria, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, and Kvemo Kartli. The primary goal is to empower local actors-including government entities, businesses, civil society, and academia-to collaborate in enhancing the economic attractiveness of their regions, ultimately leading to improved incomes and quality of life for local populations.

The wine sector value chain analysis in Kvemo Kartli will focus on strengthening market systems by fostering collaboration among producers, processors, and market stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and overcome key challenges. Through inclusive decision-making, local actors will be actively engaged to pinpoint competitive advantages and implement solutions that improve production efficiency, product quality, and market linkages. The project will emphasize capacity building by equipping SMEs, cooperatives, and local authorities with tools and knowledge to enhance productivity and competitiveness in domestic and export markets.

The objective of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive value chain analysis of the wine sector in Kvemo Kartli region, particularly in Bolnisi, Tetritskaro, and Marneuli municipalities focusing on all three municipalities in the region.

Method used: Desk research, Key information interviews, Observation, Semi-structured inteviews.
