DEPA Consulting hosted gLOCAL Evaluation Week

On June 7, 2024, DEPA Consulting successfully hosted "gLOCAL Evaluation Week." The event, held online, brought together a diverse audience eager to explore critical global issues through the lens of evaluation.

"gLOCAL Evaluation Week" is part of a global initiative featuring over 300 events worldwide.

The first panel focused on environmental sustainability. Esteemed speakers included Elinor Bajraktari, an evaluator with international experience in over 50 countries, and Michael Green, an independent consultant and facilitator in natural resource management with over 50 years of experience. Rusudan Kardava, Managing Partner at DEPA Consulting and a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert moderated the session. Discussions centered on how evaluation can enhance understanding and drive transformational changes in environmental sustainability.

The second panel addressed issues of gender equality. The panel featured Nino Javakhishvili, Professor and Director of the D. Uznadze Institute of Psychology at Ilia State University, and Dako Bakhturidze, a feminist researcher and MEL practitioner. Ilona Gogia, a Gender Researcher and Evaluator at DEPA Consulting, moderated the session. This panel explored how evaluation can support significant progress in gender equality.

Participants actively engaged in the Q&A sessions, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and insights. The interactive format and expert speakers provided attendees with valuable knowledge and actionable strategies.
